چکیده

Removal of natural organic matter (NOMs) from actual water is a major challenge in the context worldwide pollution resources. The removal humic acids system combining biochar adsorption and ultrasonic persulfate oxidation was studied this paper. effects addition, concentration initial pH were investigated. A high rate up to 92.5% achieved for combined biochar/ultrasonic/persulfate system, versus 84.0% biochar/persulfate, 52.0% sole biochar, 50.0% biochar/ultrasonic, 10.0% persulfate/ultrasonic, 4.0% 1.0% systems. Ultrasonic treatment increased efficiency 90.0% within 60 min. Mechanisms towards synergistic combination investigated by gel permeation chromatography, electron paramagnetic resonance quenching experiments together with characterization biochar. Hydroxyl radical contributors proposed adsorption-oxidation mechanism, followed sulfate SO4-·. results three-dimensional fluorescence diagram, regional integration TOC analysis indicated that presented promising application prospects remove NOM pollutants real water.

Adsorption Removal of Humic Acid from Water Using a Modified Algerian Bentonite

In this study, the main objective is the preparation and the characterization of a modified Algerian bentonite based adsorbent by intercalation with hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDTMA). Natural and modified bentonites were characterized using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The X-ray results indicate that the geometry of the int...

The simultaneous removal of turbidity and humic substances from water using the enhanced coagulation process

This study aimed to investigate the efficiency of the enhanced coagulation (EC) process for the simultaneous removal of turbidity and humic substances (HS) from raw water from the Sanandaj Water Treatment Plant (SWTP). This study was conducted on a laboratory scale using a jar test device and ferric chloride (FeCL3) as the coagulant. Accordingly, the effects of pH and coagulant dosag...

بررسی کارایی فرآیند اکسیداسیون کاتالیتیکی پرتوهای پرانرژی الکترونی توأم با پرسولفات پتاسیم درحذف اسید هیومیک از محلولهای آبی

Introduction: The most important affect of natural organic matters in water is their reaction with chlorine and producing of disinfection byproducts that are carcinogenic. Humic acid is most common natural organic materials of surface water. Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are methods for the removal of organics from aqueous solutions. Application of electron beam radiation is one of these ...

Metals complexation with humic acids in surface water of different natural–climatic zones

Humic acids extracted from different soils. The stability constants of metal humates and acid dissociation constant humic acids were calculated. Forms of metals in natural waters was determined with use account their chemical composition and content and properties of organic matter. We assessed metals speciation in water objects with account for competitive reactions resulting in formation of h...
